Stakeholders take part in a tree-planting activity at Nyabisare Primary School in Musoma during the 11th National Agroforestry Symposium on 20 October 2026.
On 20 October 2026, H.E. Ingrid Johansson, Ambassador of Sweden to Tanzania, joined Vi Agroforestry, government representatives, implementing partners and other stakeholders in a tree-planting campaign at Nyabisare Primary School in Musoma.
The activity took place during the 11th National Agroforestry Symposium, which brought together participants from across Tanzania to share experiences and explore opportunities to advance agroforestry.
Growing trees and engaging young people

The tree-planting campaign brought together stakeholders with a shared commitment to tree growing, environmental conservation and climate resilience. The activity also highlighted the important role that schools and young people can play in caring for trees and protecting the environment.
Held under the theme “Agroforestry for Youth and Green Investment,” the symposium provided a platform for stakeholders to exchange experiences and explore opportunities to strengthen agroforestry in Tanzania.
The tree-planting activity formed part of wider efforts by Vi Agroforestry and its partners to promote agroforestry, restore landscapes and support more resilient communities.
Where trees grow, people grow!
